Wolf is a Four-letter Word
(Book Two of the Eternal Spring, Invisible Forest series)

When you’re immortal, life is eternally complicated. Kellan Faolanni, half-wolf shapeshifter, is a member of a secret society called the Sankhain who guard an invisible fountain of youth outside Madison, Wisconsin. Her superiors have discovered a man killed by what appears to be a wolf pack, not exactly a normal sight for modern-day Madison. As Kellan is the only shapeshifter in town, this murder seems to be directed at her. Is it a message from Kellan’s twin, who defected from the Sankhain months ago? Or is it some new, even more sinister threat?

While she searches for answers, Kellan discovers that her friend, Darcy Jameson, who has no ties to the Sankhain, is being stalked. When Kellan learns that the killer and Darcy’s stalker are one and the same, she reports to her superiors and expects orders to kill the faery responsible. But Aza is a high-ranking member of the Shadow Court, and to kill him would start a war with the fey, a war that the Sankhain want to avoid at all costs. But Aza won’t leave her alone – he tracks her down and threatens her and her new houseguest/friend/maybe-possibly-new-love-interest, Tony.

With more bodies dropping at her doorstep, Kellan races to find a way to eliminate the threat and save her friend without killing Aza. Avoiding a fight might just cost her everything, including her own sanity. Or her life. [ABOUT THIS BOOK]

About the Author:

Carrie Newberry studied creative writing at both the University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Eau Claire. But when she realized they would no longer let her take writing workshops for credit, she left academia and started work full time at a dog grooming shop. She lives in Madison with a dog who sings along with the radio, a cat who talks in her sleep, and an enormous collection of books. Also the author of Pick Your Teeth With My Bones, the first book in the Eternal Spring, Invisible Forest series, Carrie is hard at work writing Kellan's next adventure. [MORE]

Pawns and Phantoms
(An Everland Mystery)

Todd Malcolm would be the first person to tell you that he’s no Basil Stark. He’s just a bouncer, part-time detective’s assistant, and brawler who does his best to get by on the mean streets of 1950s Everland. But when Todd gets mixed up in an arson one night, he’s thrown in over his head.

With his friends Glimmer and Vance Carson, Everland’s ‘other detective’, Todd will have to contend with federal agents, angry tigers, murderous mermaids, and shadowy threats at every turn. Does Todd have what it takes to handle this case, or is he just a pawn in a dangerous plot? [ABOUT THIS BOOK]

About the Author:

Misha Handman Born on Vancouver Island, Canada, Misha Handman spent his early life immersed in the arts, with one parent a teacher and the other a manager of theatre and opera. Moving across the country to Ottawa, and then Toronto, he began writing at a young age – first writing comics and designing card games for his closest friends and then, buoyed by their approval, gradually expanding out to submissions to magazines and short story collections, and graduating from the University of Toronto with a classic English degree. The Rosetta Mind
(Book Two of the Rosetta Series)

Estlin Hume was living off-grid on 12 acres outside of Twin Butte, Alberta when he got snagged into being translator for first contact. Home again, he wakes to find himself surrounded by aliens, affectionate squirrels, government representatives, and military personnel. That’s nothing new. But he hadn’t planned on hosting one thousand three hundred and sixty-one cuttlefish in a massive saltwater tank suspended above his house!

Stuck at the center of the alien contact crisis, Estlin is challenged by ill-advised directives from government officials, trenchant military interference, and random acts of violence from unknown nefarious agents—all of whom are determined to find out for themselves what the aliens really want. No matter the cost! No matter the outcome! [ABOUT THIS BOOK]
