Moonfall (Book One in the Moonfall trilogy)

The story begins...

Tasman is born into a world populated by two-headed bicephalic “twins” who share one body. Alone, she struggles for acceptance and becomes the unwitting key to the Earth’s salvation, in a poetic and apocalyptic vision of the future where technology exists as a mere remnant of a destroyed world, conjoined twins are the norm and the orbit of the moon is decaying.

Praise:

“I will read a story this good on any pretext or none at all.... prose as polished and beautiful as fine poetry, characters absolutely unlike anyone you ever knew but unmistakably real and alive...” — Spider Robinson

&ldquoOne of the most unique writers I’ve ever read... Spears writes beautifully and has constructed a richly developed society.” — Fred Cleaver, The Denver Post

“I have no hesitation placing Spears next to Le Guin, one of the most literate ... of science fiction writers.” — The Edmonton Journal
