The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy Vol. 3: The Author's Grimoire

The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy offers something for writers of all levels, providing advice and detailed instruction for creating a believable fantasy world. The novice author will find the book invaluable for its sage advice, while already published fantasy authors will find the book enjoyable for its well written style and wealth of reference material.
Advice on world building, religions, food, fighting & weaponry, and much more, will help transform the mundane into an epic fantasy story.
Valerie Griswold-Ford

Growing up in a household filled with books, it’s only reasonable that Valerie Griswold-Ford had her first novel penned at the tender age of 7. Since then, she’s graduated to the real world of writing: now, at age 30, she has five years of journalism under her belt, as well as a chapter in Alchemy with Words. The Opus Magus is her first co-editing position. Her debut novel Not Your Father’s Horseman, is a dark fantasy based on The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Valerie lives in Merrimack, NH with her husband and their psychotic Siamese Max.
Lai Zhao

Fantasy, with generous servings of other genres, is Lai Zhao’s favourite feast, with plenty of maniacal laughter and insane plots added for taste. Known to talk to stuffed bunnies and converse intelligently with cats, Lai has been accused of being “crazy” and “weird.” Fortunately, no one has ever labelled her “certifiable.” (Yet.) When she surfaces from her fiction-writing, Lai lives and works in Hong Kong. She is immersed in all things Chinese punctuated with healthy doses of Japanese. To date, she has been involved in various commercial non-fiction projects and has had her fiction published online. Currently, Lai is working on two fantasy novels. Opus Magus marks her first non-fiction foray into the world of Fantasy Writing.
