Legends of the Serai

In the course of an assignment for the Overseer, Lead-Officer Cara’sen of the Alysian Guild encounters something she has not bargained for: three legendary opals — sun-stone, moon-stone, and the infamous fire-opal of ancient lore — and Karvel’len, a mysterious young man with ties to both the nomadic Serai and the Boundary-Keepers of the Open-Land. Cara’sen comes to believe that both her exiled brother and Karvel’len are the ‘Chosen Ones’ mentioned in a Serai prophecy. But neither of them is prepared to believe her because of the enmity between them. Not knowing whether her own goddess has forsaken her, and realizing that her brother and Karvel’len will likely kill one another before the transcription of the Serai legends is completed, Cara’sen struggles to save the lives of the men she loves and ensure the continued existence of the Western Lands.
