Over a mug of hot chocolate (now standard at all planning meetings), he worked out a business model that would both establish EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing and allow for its future development as a well-established genre publishing house. First Book: The Black Chalice, by Marie Jakober, was the first title to be released by EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing (fall 2000) and has proven to be an important corner stone in EDGE's publishing program. It has won three major awards and garnered high praise from reviewers and readers alike. The Vision: EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing wants to encourage, produce and promote thought-provoking and well written science fiction and fantasy literature.
